#tenyearsago I was in high school, living with strangers, the Bolt boards and long-distance calls my link to love and community.
Boy sent me this, saying it reminded him of me. Aww, cute! :) “TongueTied” http://bit.ly/5BufDb

Yes, this! And yet…I suppose I’m settling somewhere between two ideas. Still, good article. “Moff’s Law” http://bit.ly/6812BN
Hey, check out a dear friend of mine who is FINALLY on twitter! @chipvalleymusic + I go back about a decade, and she’s brilliant.
Holy Pants, guys! Fairy Tale Theatre is on Hulu? HAPPY PIX.
Ten minutes to five. Goodnight, my darlings. I go off to be unconscious and hallucinate vividly.
I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient...

Twitpeeps, help! Does anyone know how updating a theme could kill one’s entire site and make it not load? If so, please advise?!

#wordpress Thanks to all the twitterlings that RTed with advice. I may be bothering some of you more, be warned.
I’m only five minutes in, but shit, @chuckwendig is right. Modern Family looks awesome.
RT @filamena: Eheh. @davidahilljr says ‘I wouldn’t write with someone I wouldn’t hug.’ < I agree totally. Then again, I hug everyone?
Modern Family: “Cher, how could I forget Cher!” Oh man. Thank you, @chuckwendig, this is great. You were right about this one thing!
Collapsing onto my futon, just before dawn. Such simple joys: bed, pillow, blankets - yet how they enhance my life!
Giving some love to Spinnet and Vara. #amwriting Reminds me how much I love stories that start cold and go fantastical places!
RT @robot_smith: It makes me sad that kids don’t play outside anymore

A girl I loved once is using the name I gave her, nowadays. I’m caught between melancholy - a worn, threadbare-canvas-coveralls sort of nostalgia - and warm soppy feelings, the sort that slosh around in my belly and make me feel generous, forgiving. I think brandy eggnog will help me sink comfortably into both.
Today’s been a day for curling up with the Magnetic Fields and Mountain...
Very nice little article about harmony in writing: FictionCraft by Louisa Burton ( http://bit.ly/8Osdyz )
RT @laceandgrace: Passive-aggressiveness is the lamest of lame. < total agreement from me.

“The Making of Avatar, The Bootleg - Avatar bootleg - Gizmodo” ( http://bit.ly/72esfG ) Hilarious.
Here’s my #Avatar question, and it’s a good one: Had Jake Sully been non-white, would it be hailed? Or called gimmick, an empty concession?
Note that I have no answer for previous #Avatar question. Just think it’s a good one to ask.
RT @timpratt: It’s Dead Week, the last week of the year, when nothing much of import seems to happen and time moves strangely and slow.

What the Moon Saw
It was a hot, sultry evening as the carriage made its way north to Bristol; the sort of night that gave birth to strange, vivid dreams and stranger imaginings when one looked up to the huge, luminous orange moon. As the carriage bumped and shook it’s way along the coach-road, the landscape became wilder and more beautiful - moors replacing cultivated fields, and trees that hugged to the...
RT: @theeffingbandit: that was a damn good tuna sandwich. < Today, let’s all be happy for the simple things in life. :)
I’s a Magnetic Fields sort of day, I think!
Oh god, oh fuck I just called my ex. The fuck did I do that for, that was such a bad idea.
“Elizabeth Pschorr: A Privileged Marriage (Boing Boing Video) Boing Boing” ( http://bit.ly/4ZowZI ) A lovely viddy, a lovely story.
RT: @valleyviolet: Merry Christmas! (Now here’s a funny song: http://bit.ly/86WxZW :)
Celebrating Jewish Christmas (movie + takeout) with @ballatetta, looking forward to it immensely. She is the companion of my lonely times.
RT @zientek: @shoepixie He played Martin. <I was right! @wilw IS in The Secret of NIMH. Guys, give some love to this awesome film & @wilw
Mystery: why does Disney’s Robin Hood have the same three children as Bluth’s Secret of NIMH? Sure, they’re rabbits, not mice. Still!!!
Just watched The Secret of NIMH. So many things adored: Don Bluth films, treasured book of my childhood…yes, even Delouise’s voice.
Weirdest thing (about the movie, not ever) was that I could have sworn @wilw was in it. So odd.
Singing carols, my sisters at my side. Yes. Happiness is this!
RT: @robot_smith: Don’t Stop Me Now is my jam of the week <Hark, my friend here has excellent taste! Love him, and love that song!

Imagine, if you can, a silence that is not the absence of sound… Let me start again. Imagine a silence that is not nothing, not what they call a ‘vacuum’, but a collective hush. Every being, animated or not, green and growing or fast and flitting or hiding in the muck of the ocean; imagine every creature and thing that lives holding its...
Ok, @remittancegirl, I totally changed my mind. The inclusion of the GUY I don’t like, but the surreality….totally copacetic with that.
Middle-of-the-night wisdom: Rick Moranis fucking *rules*.
Just finished watching Sunshine. What a fantastic film! The last bit is needlessly confusing, but the spiral into abstraction was brill!
Watching Sunshine. Lord, this is everything I need and want a Sci-Fi movie to be. Bleak, spare, and hella depressing.
“We “survived” California Highway 1 - This is a really neat, forthright account. I like it! :) http://bit.ly/4tEJyE
Watching High Fidelity. Love Hornby’s work, always have. He *gets* it.
Hey, I didn’t know Tony Head did a cameo in Burton’s Sweeney Todd!
